In the last 23 years my focus has been on raising my three children, practicing law and serving as a Bible study leader (BSF) and Sunday School teacher for 3 year olds. I was born in Topeka Kansas in 1956. I grew up in Kansas riding horses and spent summers working construction for my family’s electrical contracting business. I moved to Arlington, Texas in June, 1974. I am a long time Rangers fan (my assistant says I am a fanatic). I graduated from Lamar High School in 1975 and then served in the Army Reserve/National Guard from 1980 – 1988. I spent the summer of 1980 at Fort Benning Georgia (11B Infantry) Commissioned as an Armor Officer in 1982 (UTA – ROTC).
I have been married 24 years to Becky Hixson. We have three children who are High School and College age. My oldest son David has been in the Army Reserves and is now in the National Guard as a combat medic. He is currently serving in Afganistan and I am very proud of his decision to serve our country.
